Kayla Todd, Grants Assistant
Kayla is College Spark’s Grants Assistant. She keeps the online databases and filing systems up to date and assists the staff in various projects.
Before and Beyond College Spark:
Kayla joined College Spark in December 2013. She graduated from Lake Oswego High School and moved from Oregon to Washington in the fall of 2013. She is a full time student at Seattle University, double majoring in Forensic Psychology and Women’s Studies. She also works as a coach of elementary school dance teams in the Seattle area. She has no clue what she wants to do after she graduates college, but hopes it will have something to do with the criminal justice system and/or working towards equality for women. When she is not in class or at work, she is usually watching the latest episode of Parks and Rec or Scandal.
Night Table Reading:
How to be a Woman by Caitlin Moran; A Wild Sheep Chase and Dance Dance Dance by Haruki Murakami; The Millennium Series by Stieg Larsson; and anything by Sylvia Plath.
Quote of the Moment
“A library in the middle of a community is a cross between an emergency exit, a life raft and a festival. They are cathedrals of the mind; hospitals of the soul; theme parks of the imagination.” – Caitlin Moran
